ENVIRA, a company belonging to the ENVIRA Group specialized in the development of technology for the monitoring of environmental parameters, has won the public tender for the maintenance of the air quality network.
The awarded works include the maintenance and correction of incidents in the operation of all the equipment that is part of this network, ensuring the quality of the data collection and management process by maintaining the software used for this purpose.
The air quality monitoring and control network is integrated in Asturias by 22 remote stations located in different zones of the region that measure the different parameters of air quality; a mobile immission unit; a data center located in Oviedo, which assesses the data submitted by the stations, and five concentrator subcenters, located in Oviedo, Gijón, Avilés, Langreo and Mieres.
Remote stations measure the concentrations of sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide and nitrogen oxides (NOx), particles (PM10 and PM2.5), benzene (CH6), carbon monoxide (CO) and ozone (O3), and send the information collected to the data processing center and sub-centers of their respective areas. These stations are located in Avilés (4), Salinas, Langreo (3), San Martín del Rey Aurelio, Gijón (5), Oviedo (3), Trubia, Mieres, Siero, Cangas del Narcea and Somiedo.
The award of the contract by the Principality of Asturias to ENVIRA demonstrates the confidence of the regional Administration for more than twenty years in the company, which is at the forefront of technology in the field of monitoring environmental parameters, having own and innovative developments in continuous evolution.
ENVIRA works uninterruptedly in the search and development of new equipment and systems for the control of air quality, which may be useful in a community such as the Principality of Asturias, where there is a high index of industrial activity.
