What is an air quality network?
An air quality network is the set of means, systems and instruments that allow a public administration to monitor pollution levels in real time and continuously, in order to know objectively the need to take preventive and corrective measures to minimise the impact of pollution when it presents abnormal or harmful parameters for health at a given time.
The Community of Madrid’s Air Quality Network is certified to the UNE-EN ISO 9001:2015 standard, which is essential for monitoring pollution levels and providing essential information for public health; Envira will be responsible for carrying out an annual internal audit to ensure compliance with the Network Management System.
This contract provides the Community of Madrid with the necessary means to guarantee the protection of the environment and public health.
With this award, the service and support will be provided for a period of 3 years, renewable for a further 24 months.
